Switzerland Switzerland can be a lucrative, although relatively small market (8 million inhabitants), for export ready companies. Usually some export experience is required but interesting innovations will result in this requirement being less important provided there is evidence of the innovation being effective. Both SMEs and larger companies can find business in Switzerland. Although most business people have a good level of English, in some cases language ability in one of the Swiss national languages will be important (French, German, Italian). English is the working language for procurement by the United Nations organisations and by CERN - and payment is guaranteed.
